Leaders of various mass movements in the Vindhya region met at the Rituraj Park in Rewa to discuss the strategy to mobilize the people against Madhya Pradesh government’s patronage to the private electricity companies, which are involved in the daylight robbery on 1.35 crores electricity consumers of the state through higher electricity pricing and arbitrary bill collection.
The members of the civil society from the districts of Satna, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Anuppur and Jabalpur who were present at the meeting decided to launch a campaign against expensive electricity in their districts.
विंध्य क्षेत्र में जन आंदोलनों की अगुवाई कर रहे साथियों की एक बैठक रीवा में ऋतुराज पार्क में संपन्न हुई। बैठक में सतना, रीवा, सीधी, सिंगरौली, शहडोल, अनूपपुर तथा जबलपुर जिले के साथी उपस्थित रहे। बैठक में मध्य प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा बिजली कंपनियों को लाभ पहुंचाने के लिए प्रदेश के 1करोड़ 35 लाख बिजली उपभोक्ताओं की की जा रही लूट के विरोध में बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को संगठित कर महंगी बिजली एवं मनमानी बिल उगाही के विरोध में विंध्य क्षेत्र में “महंगी बिजली विरोधी अभियान” चलाए जाने का निर्णय किया गया।
